Corbado Update: November 2024

Here’s what’s been going on in the Corbado labs during the last weeks:

#1 Passkey Demo for Automatic Passkey Upgrades#

To show a live demonstration of automatic passkey upgrades which Apple introduced in iOS 18 and macOS 15, we built a demo application into passkeys.eu to let users try this new feature.

#2 New Major Versions of Backend SDKs#

We updated our backend SDKs to include new functionality and provide better maintainability in the future. Therefore, new major versions of these SDKs were published.

#3 Passkey Intelligence Improvements#

Passkey Intelligence now supports the syncing of passkeys via Google Password Manager on Windows and macOS using Chrome. Moreover, Passkey Intelligence now makes use of the WebAuthn credential hints that were adopted by Crhome and Edge, e.g. to improve cross-device authentication flows.
